Bitmap OS/2 Programming Font sample
This is a font mainly designed for programming on OS/2 Systems.
It allows viewing text at extremely small pixel points (6px).
As a result, you may see large portions of code in compact way
avoiding the sliding of your window programming editor.
The glyphs are inspired by the System VIO fonts you can see inside
an OS/2 command window and resolutions availables start from a 10x6px
matrix, but deviate slightly from the classic Sistem VIO, due to
copyright and perhaps into a vague attempt to perfect them: Indeed Bitmap
OS/2 Programming Font at 6px seems a bit small than the corresponding
System VIO size (instead it looks like 5px).
Could be not interesting, but if you need to see as much code as possible
while you are programming, you need a very small and readable font
that can make difference ;-)!
This font is available only for OS/2, and was developed in bitmap format
using the IBM Toolkit Font Editor bundled with eComStation and with the
help of Fatbits, a pixel magnifier program for OS/2 Presentation Manager
by John Ridges.
To build the font from sources you need Open Watcom.
To install rename os2pgftr.dll into os2pgftr.fon, copy it into PSFONTS
folder and use OS/2 Font Palette.
Bitmap OS/2 Programming Font is copyrighted FREEWARE.
This package include only the Watcom project files to explain how simple
is to build a bitmap font for OS/2, *.fnt source files are not included.
