A note about the future of ecsoft2.org

ecsoft2.org runs on software (Drupal 7 and PHP 7.4) that reached its end of life years ago and no longer receives security updates. Keeping the site online safely is getting harder.

Giving it a future means migrating it to a current platform — and that is only worth doing if people still use it and want to help keep it alive.

If you care about ecsoft2.org, as a user, a contributor, or someone willing to lend a hand, please ggambatiscali [dot] it (get in touch) by January 31, 2027.

If no one comes forward by then, the site will be turned into a read-only archive, so that its content stays available.

MAID is an user Interface Front End software for easy prototyping and creating your own useful interfaces. MAID incorporates REXX scripting language and C dynamic libraries which means no limit to the type of programs you can create!

LesTecIO contains most REXXIO REXX Input/Output functions and does not require MAID to be installed.
It is designed for people who require the functionality of REXXIO but do not need a GUI interface or do not have MAID installed.

LesTec Pty Ltd solutions, unlike other similar software such RexxDW, Doctor Dialog, Watcom VX-Rexx, VisPro/REXX or Visual REXX, are currently being developed/supported, therefore suitable for professional needs.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder. OS/2 REXX Interpreter or Regina Rexx must be installed.

You need kLIBC / GCC Runtime Library only if you use the Rexx Regina interpreter. Fundamentals of REXX language, mandatory to be able to use RexxDW toolkit, can be found in the book "Procedures Language /2 REXX User's Guide", included into the operating system.
