Word-CMD (WordView) v. 03042017 (2/4/2017, Frans Zeilemaker, A. Doff) Readme/What's new
Starts MicroSoft Word 6 for 16-bit OS and creates temporarily file, using the long filename. Based on WDVW-CMD.ZIP, Dunglish (EN) and Dutch (NL) version. Rename the WORDVIEW.?? file to WORDVIEW.CMD, and modify lines 20 and 21 (both FAT only). Using WordView.CMD only makes sense when WRD97CNV.EXE is installed. Take care when saving changes, because only viewing is assumed. Microsoft's WRD97CNV.EXE tries to make Word 6 compatible with Word 97 documents, but Word 6 only supports FAT filenames. WordView.CMD copies a file to a temporary FAT file, starts Word 6, and deletes the temporary FAT file after Word 6 is closed.
