XTide is a program that provides tide predictions in a wide variety of formats. By default, it is a simple tide clock, but it has command line switches to generate graphs, listings, calendars, and all kinds of good stuff (package include also the XFree86 version).

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder. See below for download link(s).

You can install the prerequisites with rpm running the following string in a command line:

yum install emxrt

Tide v. 1.5 (19/11/1996, Dale DePriest) Readme/What's new
This is version 1.5 release of tide.exe which has time zone and units support. The program xtide.exe is also included. It has only been tested in the Xfree86 environment. Both programs require emxrt.zip version 0.9c with fix01 be loaded. There is also some revisions to the harmonic file. These programs can be built from the original sources with no changes. Please see the README for details and instructions The EMX gcc build environment is required. The xtide.xpm file can be used to provide an X icon.
