Screen blanker

Screen Blanker is a program which blanks the screen after a specified period of inactivity, in order to prevent patterns from being "burned-in" to the screen. Source is included. Program is written in C language using Microsoft C 6.0, Microsoft Assembler 2.0 and the OS/2 Programmer's Toolkit.

On 08/02/2016, the author, Alan Ballard, released Screen Blanker source code under the GNU GPL V2 license. Many thanks to the author and to Martin Iturbide for mediation!

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder (better if in PATH and LIBPATH), then add to  config.sys

DEVICE=C:\<installation path>\SCRNBLNK.SYS

line and reboot. See the SCRNBLNK.TXT file included for details.
