RUN! can eliminate scripts and config.sys entries needed to start many programs - particularly those started as 'helper-apps' by other programs. It sets the current drive, directory, and BeginLibPath to the directory containing the .exe, sets options, starts the program, then terminates.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package. See below for download link(s). To run, for example, Firefox from ProNews/2 without a script:

copy run!.exe to Firefox's directory
rename it firefox!.exe
update ProNews/2 to start (e.g.) D:\NetApps\Firefox\firefox!.exe

For a concise listing of all its options, just run the unrenamed run!.exe.
