"Padding: The RTL8169 will automatically pad any packets less than 64 bytes (including 4 bytes CRC) to 64 bytes long before transmiting that packet" does Realtek describe in the datasheet. Against Realtek's affirmation, the RTL8169 does not pad automatically, but discard without transmiting runt packets. I assure that the valid description should be like this: "The RTL8169 will automatically discard any packets less than 64bytes without transmit error.
