Authors/Port authors:

A Pure 32-bit command interpreter that is a replacement for the 16-bit CMD that is supplied with IBM OS/2, allowing one to finally replace one of the 16-bit vestiges that remains in OS/2 Warp.

Inside the packages, also the developing libraries, the headers and the API's documentation.

Along with 4OS2, JdeBP 32-bit is definitely the most alternate popular command line interpreter for OS/2!

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder. See README.TXT file. See below for download link(s).

Unicode Console API with developers' toolkit (29/12/2009) Readme/What's new
A 32-bit Unicode Console API, with Developers' Toolkit, which allows one to eliminate one more 16-bit vestige from OS/2: the 16-bit thunking code that has to be included in any otherwise 32-bit application that uses the existing 16-bit Console API that is supplied with IBM OS/2 (a.k.a. the VIO, MOU, and KBD subsystems) even in the very latest versions. By using the 32-bit Unicode Console API, applications can be made purely 32-bit (as long as they don't call any other 16-bit APIs and don't use the 16-bit Console API internally within their compiler's runtime libraries, of course). Also included is an entrypoint-compatible replacement for the broken 32TEXT package from IBM that used to be on the DevCon CD-ROMs. Instructions are in README.TXT.
