Standalone viewer for DjVu files. Features include navigating documents, zooming and panning page images, producing and displaying thumbnails. The viewer can simultaneously display several pages using a side-by-side or a continuous layout. Application developed using the Qt toolkit.

DjVu (pronounced "déjà vu") a set of compression technologies, a file format, and a software platform for the delivery over the Web of digital documents, scanned documents, and high resolution images.

DjVu was originally developped at AT&T Labs-Research. In March 2000, AT&T sold DjVu to LizardTech Inc. who now distributes Windows/CE/Mac plug-ins, and commercial encoders.

DjVuLibre is an open source implementation of DjVu. See the credits/history page for more details.

This software is distributed in two modes:

as compressed package that you have to download and manually install; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too;
as RPM package; you can install it using your favorite rpm package manager, that will take care to download and install both the software and its prerequisites.

Choose the installation mode that you prefer. Please note that not all the versions are available in both the installation modes.

Installation with rpm

This program is installable using the rpm package manager. See below for the install string. Required prerequisites are automatically processed by the package manager and, if needed, downloaded and installed.

DjVu to PNM converter (9/4/2017)	Readme/What's new	DjVu to PNM converter compiled for OS/2 This is djvutopnm utility from DjVu 2.2 Reference Library by LizardTech, Inc. compiled for OS/2. I tried to find something to view DjVu format for OS/2 and failed so I've downloaded DjVu 2.2 Reference Library and compiled it by GCC/EMX no problem, no source code changes were required. I've renamed the utility to djvu2pnm.exe in order to allow placing it on FAT. djvu2pnm.html is a page from DjVu 2.2 Reference Library docs that contains djvutopnm usage instructions. djview.cmd is a REXX file that allows viewing DjVu files by converting a file to PNM format and then calling a PNM viewer (e.g. PMView). Edit lines: CONVERT="djvu2pnm.exe" /* djvutopnm name/path / VIEW="pmview.exe" / pnm viewer name/path */ to point to djvu2pnm.exe and viewer. Patches, build script and instructions are in under ports\os2 directory. JPEG compression library is not linked so not all features are available.
