Jp2a is a simple JPEG to ASCII viewer. The output can be displayed inside a command window, saved in a text file or converted into HTML format.

Jp2a supports also grayscales and colors.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder, better if in PATH. See below for download link(s).

If you use Warp 4, check your config.sys for SET TERMCAP=PATH_TO\termcap.dat or SET TERM=os2 statements.

You can install the prerequisites with rpm running the following string in a command line:

yum install libc libgcc1 libssp libstdc++6 libstdc++ libsupc++6 libsupc++ libgcc-fwd urpo libjpeg libcurl openssl zlib
