WarpIN is intended to become the new general-purpose installer for OS/2 to overcome the current lack of a both flexible and user-friendly installer. It can maintain a global database of installed packages and therefore can de-install everything that has ever been installed without leaving any trace. Now with Unicode support! Use the Netlabs Tracker to report new bugs! WarpIN manages .exe and .wpi extension files.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

WarpIN comes as a self-installing executable file. Just double-click on the EXE file and WarpIN will install itself on your system. eComStation includes WarpIN. See below for download link(s).

Following ones are the download links for manual installation:

Please correct the homepage field: the en/site/index.html part should appear once, not four times.

thanks Tae, corrected.

I am completely stuck. Warpin always stops with an C++ error in module "install". I am using a standard installation of Warp 4.52, nothing else installed, yet. What am I missing?

Installation on a virtual machine in VirtualBox runs just fine. My real machine is: Pentium III @ 500 MHz, 500 MB RAM, AGP, PCI, ISA busses, builtin Audio (deactivated), builtin VGA via AGP (deactivated), Matrox graphics (runs well on S3 Virge drivers), RTL 8029 NIC, SB 16 ISA PnP. No complaints from Warp during boot time.

I also find myself with the C++ error in module install. Earlier versions of warpin just crash OS2 entirely. Anyone figure out how to fix this?? New c++ runtimes maybe??

Contact the author? No such problem with eCS 1.2 and real Intel Pentium II/III/4 hardware. In case of "nothing else installed": perhaps first install IBM's OS FixPaks.
