ChatZilla is a cross platform messaging client that combines Internet Relay Chat (IRC) with existing web standards like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as XPI package, a special self-installer ZIP format: drag and drop XPI file in Firefox. Chatzilla is already included in Mozilla suite.
