THE OS/2 GAMER'S GUIDE - March 1995 Edition
=====================================================
PLEASE READ THIS TEXT IN ITS ENTIRETY AS IT CONTAINS
IMPROTANT INFORMATION ON PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND ON
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.
Thank-you for taking a look at the second edition of
"The OS/2 Gamer's Guide". This program is meant to
be an easy to use tool in getting your DOS games
working their best under OS/2.
The program is very straight forward in it's design
and therefore should be extremely easy to use.
I hope to be able to release updates at regular
intervals in order to keep the contents of the guide
as up-to-date as possible and thereby support the
newest games. My initial idea is to do this on a
bi-monthly basis, but please comment if you think
otherwise.
Finally, this program is freeware but I would
appreciate a comment if you use the software. The
program, and the installation routine, were both
written entirely using VX-REXX v2.0c from Watcom. As
a result it requires you to have a copy of the VX-REXX
runtime library, VROBJ.DLL. This can be found on
numerous OS/2 FTP sites including ftp-os2.cdrom.com,
ftp.nmsu.edu and rexx.uwaterloo.ca.
The easiest and most reliable site is rexx.uwaterloo.ca.
You can find the DLL file in the pub/os2/vxrexx
directory. Either VROBJ20C.ZIP or VROBJ21C.ZIP will
do the job but you should probably grab 2.1 as it is
the newest.
Please send any comments, suggestions, game settings
or anything else to me at black2@server.uwindsor.ca.
Thanks,
Kevin James Black
