dproxy is a small caching name server (DNS) for use between Local Area Networks and the internet. It features:

  • Modest resource requirements (runs great on an old 486);
  • Discovers and serves names from /etc/hosts and dhcp lease files;
  • Human readable/editable ASCII text cache file More information about dproxy is available from http://dproxy.sourceforge.net/.
This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder. See below for download link(s).
