Night Vision is a "planetarium" program for OS/2, and will display the heavens from any location on Earth.

Visit the author's website for a.o. translations (incl. Russian).

Originally developed for OS/2 (until 2006), is now available in Java. Current version works from 1000 B.C. to 3000 A. D.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Available both as ZIP and WarpIN package:

  • download the ZIP package to temporary directory and unpack it to destination folder, run INSTALL.CMD for 2.6 release. Create a program object pointing to java.exe with the following parameters: "-jar X:\PATH_TO\nvj.jar", for java releases.
  • the WarpIN package is self-installing.
