Kon is a text editor suitable for most editing tasks, including programming, but is not intended to be a complete IDE. Instead, the focus is to be a fast and easiliy available editor to be used for most tasks where viewing or editing a text file (or in some cases a binary file) is involved.

On 29/09/2013, the author, Björn Andersson, has released Kon 2.10 as Open Source software under the GNU LGPL license. OS/2 and eComStation users would like to thank Björn Andersson and the best wishes for a great future to Kon!

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Available both as ZIP and WarpIN package:

download the ZIP package to temporary directory and unpack it to destination folder;
the WarpIN package is self-installing.
