GNU Units converts quantities expressed in various systems of measurement to their equivalents in other systems of measurement. Like many similar programs, it can handle multiplicative scale changes. It can also handle nonlinear conversions such as Fahrenheit to Celsius or wire gauge, and it can convert from and to sums of units, such as converting between meters and feet plus inches. Port by different authors.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder, better if in PATH. See the readme.os2 file included. See below for download link(s).

Following is a list of prerequisites that you have to manually install in order to have the program working:

kLIBC / GCC Runtime Library

You can install the prerequisites with rpm running the following string in a command line:

yum install libc libgcc1 libgcc-fwd libssp libstdc++6 libstdc++ libsupc++6 libsupc++ ncurses readline urpo
