This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder.

Make sure you have exactly the requirements, the products provided and update levels required for the application of Fixpak;
Be sure to use exactly the software required for the application of Fixpak;
Carefully read all the documentation, errors can cause hardware failures, system lockups or prevent the restart of OS/2!

The fix for this APAR should have added a new module, WINFILE.EXE, to FixPak 05. It is being provided as a seperate module, "WINFILE.EXE". Please download this file in binary mode and install it on your system only if you have installed: o US Warp 4 FixPak 05 o Any National Language Version of Warp 4 FixPak 05 o US Warp 4 FixPak 06 All National Language Versions (NLVs) of Warp v4 FixPak 06 (and up) will contain this module. Installation Steps : 1. Shut down all WINOS2 applications. 2. Open an OS/2 Full Screen or OS/2 Window. 3. From the root of the partition where OS/2 Warp 4 is installed or from where WINOS2 support is installed; do a. enter cd os2\mdos\winos2 <press enter key> b. enter copy winfile.exe winfile.bak <press enter key> (save a backup copy of winfile.exe) 4.
