CDRDAO/2 v. 1.2.1 (1/12/2005, Nikolay Kolosov (nickk)) Readme/What's new
cdrdao2 1.2.1 for OS/2 28.12.2005 ------------------------- !!!!!!!!! cdrdao is now renamed to cdrdao2 just to emphasize the difference between this port with new features and original port which is used in different frontends. This build should generally work fine with frontends but if it does not - do not blame their authors. !!!!!!!!! Changes from original cdrdao and previous builds: --------------------- - shows progress in window title. This can be switched off by --notitle option. - manual priority setting by --priority <priority class, priority delta> option. default is 3,30 - new option --cutpad that cuts audio tracks instead of padding when it is necessary. It is usefull to write audio cd's from mp3 files or any other sources in dao mode where padding is necessary without cracks between tracks. - --skip option - skips (or adds) specifed number of bytes from beginning while reading cd. It is usefull to correct offset of your drive like EAC does. - compiled with the latest paranoia cdda library - fixed bug in toc reading - new option --lock - locks specified drives. - compiled with VAC 3.6.5. So, no more emx runtime is needed. - Scsi transport is significantly rewritten. It will work only with aspirout 1.1 beta 5 or above. - copy --on-the-fly works - new command cdrdao setspeed - locks read/write speed until next media reload. - add --speed option in read-cd & --source-speed for copy-cd - add --blank-mode option to write and copy commands. - now default blank mode is minimal. Blank mode can be saved to config. - updated built-in drivr table - added new options --options & --source-options to specify driver options separately from the --driver options. - added Audio Master Quality and Optimum Speed Control disabling for Yamaha 2200 and 3200 devices. Use yamaha-mmc driver for these devices. Audio Master Quality can be enabled by '--options 0x0100' or '--amq' options. Optimum Speed Control can be disabled by '--options 0x0200' options. - slightly changed interface. Now recording speed is displayed. - new option --iso for writing - thread input file as iso, not toc. To write iso files with cdrdao you can just run 'cdrdao write --iso your.iso' without creating toc file manually. - moved to aspinkk.sys (including in this package) aspi routing driver (by default) - added --scsidriver to switch between different aspirouting drivers. Use --scsidriver aspirou$ to use aspirout.sys, --scsidriver aspinkk$ to use aspinkk.sys (default).
