It's a Re-release of CADVANCE Version 6.5, a CAD software system designed for Windows 3.1 and early Windows 95, but yet also runs on Windows 95/98 and NT, and Win-OS/2. Originally released in 1995 at a suggested retail price of $1950, it is now available to anyone free of charge for the software. This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and run setup.exe. See below for download link(s). A working Win-OS2 environment is needed. Users of Cadvance under WIN-OS2 will know that at resolutions above 800x600 the font resolution in the splash screen and in the bottom status bar is rendered with a "blocky" appearance which makes it almost unreadable. IBM given the following fix which works under Scitech build 398: in \os2\mdos\winos2\system.ini add the two lines:
