  • Chiudere Mozilla.
  • Lanciare pmm2moz.exe dalla cartella contenente i file .msg di PMMail: pmm2moz.exe >old. Il programma richiede il comando 'ls' (incluso) dalle GNU file utilities e, di conseguenza, il runtime EMX.
  • Copiare il risultante file 'old' in %MOZILLA_HOME%\Profiles\user\abcdefgh.xyz\mail\account\Inbox.sbd. 'account' e 'abcdefgh.xyz' variano da un sistema ad un altro.
  • Avviare nuovamente Mozilla, aprire la sottocartella 'old' ed attendere il completamento della reindicizzazione.

E' possibile installare i prerequisiti con rpm, eseguendo la stringa seguente in una finestra comandi:

yum install emxrt

PMMail to Mozilla Mail (7/3/2005, David W. Eckman) Readme/What's new
PMM2MOZ Copyright 2004 by David W. Eckman PMM2MOZ is a simple program that will allow you to convert PMMail *.msg files to a single file that Mozilla and Thunderbird will treat as a folder. It requires REXXLIB.DLL, which is included with this distribution. REXX must also be installed and enabled. It appears that PMM2MOZ will not run under Object REXX, so you may need to switch to Classic REXX to run it, then switch back. Conditions of Use: Included files must not be modified in any way. In particular, embedded copyright notices must be left intact. Any redistribution must include all 3 files (PMM2MOZ.EXE, REXXLIB.DLL, and this file, PMM2MOZ.DOC). REXXLIB is copyrighted software belonging to Quercus Systems and is included by permission of Quercus Systems. Users are not permitted to use REXXLIB except in conjunction with PMM2MOZ. Any further use by an end user requires purchase of at least a basic registration. No part of REXXLIB may be included with other collections of tools or libraries intended primarily for use by programmers. No Warranty: This program is not warranted in any way. By using it, you agree that any claims for harm to your system or data are limited to the amount you paid for it ($0.00). You further agree that jurisdiction and venue for any such claim will be in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Installation: There are two alternatives for installing and using PMM2MOZ: (1) Copy PMM2MOZ.EXE and this file to a directory specified in your path setting in config.sys. Copy REXXLIB.DLL to a directory specified in your libpath setting in config.sys (which can be your OS2\DLL directory). If you receive a REX0003 error, try rebooting to fix it. (2) Copy this file, PMM2MOZ.EXE and REXXLIB.DLL to a new directory you have created for this program. Be sure to include the directory in your path and libpath settings. To be sure you don't receive a REX0003 error, you should REBOOT before running PMM2MOZ. Use: To use PMM2MOZ, open a command window, change to any directory containing *.msg files, and enter 'pmm2moz'. It will create 2 files: converted.msgs (which holds the converted messages) and converted.files (which contains a list of the converted files). Once you are satisfied with the conversion, you can rename converted.msgs and move the file to the directory containing your Mozilla/Thunderbird mail. It will be indexed by that name as a folder. [As a matter of information, PMM2MOZ includes a line for each message (X-PMMail-file) recording the processing sequence number, the PMMail file name, its date and its size. I have a report that the sequence counter may not appear correctly when processing directories with over 2000 files, but the report also indicated that the conversion completed properly.] Trouble-Shooting: PMM2MOZ was tested on eComStation 1.1 from command windows using CMD.EXE and 4OS2.EXE as command processors and encountered no problems. It should run fine on OS/2 v4.0 and up. I hope you have the same success. If you encounter any difficulty, you can contact me at davide@hal-pc.org, specifying the problem you encounter and any error message provided by the program. revised 12.21.04
