A note about the future of ecsoft2.org

ecsoft2.org runs on software (Drupal 7 and PHP 7.4) that reached its end of life years ago and no longer receives security updates. Keeping the site online safely is getting harder.

Giving it a future means migrating it to a current platform — and that is only worth doing if people still use it and want to help keep it alive.

If you care about ecsoft2.org, as a user, a contributor, or someone willing to lend a hand, please ggambaattiscali [dot] it (get in touch) by January 31, 2027.

If no one comes forward by then, the site will be turned into a read-only archive, so that its content stays available.

Port del famoso compilatore GCC per UNIX, compatibilità ANSI completa. Con la release 3.3.5(CSD4), introdotto il supporto per fork(), link simbolici, chroot e molto altro, vedere la documentazione.

Le versioni 3.3 si possono trovare ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/gcc/ , mentre il sito OS2site raccoglie tutte le versioni rilasciate: http://www.os2site.com/sw/dev/gcc/index.html

Questo software è distribuito con due modalità:
  • come pacchetto compresso, da scaricare e installare manualmente; se ci sono prerequisiti da soddisfare, andranno anch'essi scaricati e installati manualmente;
  • come pacchetto RPM, installabile tramite il gestore pacchetti rpm preferito, che provvederà a scaricare e installare sia il software che gli eventuali prerequisiti.
Scegli la modalità di installazione che preferisci, tenendo conto del fatto che non tutte le versioni del software sono disponibili per entrambe le modalità.

Installazione con rpm

Questo programma si può installare usando il gestore pacchetti rpm. Vedi sotto per la stringa di installazione. I prerequisiti richiesti sono gestiti dal gestore pacchetti e, se necessario, scaricati e installati automaticamente.

Installazione manuale

Scompattare nella cartella desiderata e vedere il file \usr\doc\GCC-x.x.x\Install.os2.

Da qui si può scaricare l'ambiente di compilazione usato da Paul Smedley, che cura con successo il porting di numerosissime applicazioni GCC!

E' possibile installare i prerequisiti con rpm, eseguendo la stringa seguente in una finestra comandi:

yum install gcc
