(* so that they are still runable *) The decompress is simple and universal so that it can near all file processed with LZEXE, DIET, PROTECT, PKLITE, WWPACK, HACKSTOP, EXEPACK, TINYPROG, ICE, PKTINY, KVETCH, COMPACK, simple viruses .... Actual it is does not not depends on the compressor but on the compiler with that the file is created ! Most compilers test in their runtime library the dos version. So i can say the compressed program : i run you and you will say me when yoe are ready. FOTO.COM makes 2 different memory dumps to find relocations. usage ═════ Foto ──── FOTO.COM [a,b,d,s,number] path+name+extension [parameters] number ···· after the (number). counted call to DOS the memory dump will created a ········· auto .. only find/count known calls b ········· break program after dump is created ( some programmes do not like it) d ········· "debuger" display info on screen s ········· silence .. no screen writes ( some programmes do not like it) path+name+extension ···· the file to decompress parameter ················ example : /? the filenames for the memorydumps are ^entpack.{1} and ^entpack.{2} . Rekomb ────── Rekomb need no parameter. but the 2 files ^entpack.{1}, .{2} in the actual directory and enough diskspace the create the resulting ^entpack.exe. Rekomb.exe processes the files automaticly. If you are not satisfaied whith Rekom you may run as "Rekomb.exe !" to switch off the auto-detection. Sometime Rekomb.exe must add a little overhead to fool the created program to let it think it is still kompressed ( like PKLITE ). hints ═════ uses X.BAT - it contains calls to Foto und Rekomb the syntax is the same ! if the compressed program has overlays you should process ^entpack.exe further. solved problems ═══════════════ see entpack.deu ..
