BDDE (BetaDisk Dump Extractor) v. 1.7e (1/12/2024, Mentore Siesto) | Readme/What's new |
This is an OS/2 - ArcaOS port of BDDE, the BetaDisk Dump Extractor useful
for using Beta disks under ZX Spectrum emulators.
The Betadisk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_Disk_Interface) was used
by ZX Spectrum users to access disk drives with a simple interface, and
it used a proprietary operating system (TR-DOS) which is commonly found
in russian ZX Spectrum clones using floppy disks.
Since the file formats used are often not readable by emulators, it's good
to have some conversion software. I checked on the 'net and found this,
together with others I'm porting.
Check the attached postscript file for more information, how to use the
software and recompile it if you need so (fairly easy taks).
If you think my work on OS/2 software is useful, please do drop me a note
at my email address.
Happy emulating,
Mentore |
