TShell is a reduced-function shell for OS/2. Reduced function means that more system resources are available to applications. TShell is small and does well in 4MB RAM. TShell is a text-only shell for OS/2. There is no Presentation Manager under TShell. TShell runs DOS and OS/2 programs, but not PM programs. There are other restrictions. TShell has applications in low-resource systems, servers, embedded systems, floppy boots, and test beds.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to destination folder. Add in CONFIG.SYS:

PROTSHELL=C:\PATH_TO\TSHELL.EXE
