TCP/IP For OS/2 V3.1 & V4.0 Universal FixPak UN_0980 For all languages This FixPak can be applied to: - IBM TCP/IP for OS/2 v3.1 (Warp Server) + UNx0959 - IBM TCP/IP for OS/2 v4.0 (OS/2 Warp v4) This FixPak is a universal FixPak that can be applied to any language. If you are installing on TCP/IP v3.1, the prerequisite for this FixPak is UNx0959, where x is the country code corresponding to your system's language or country. This FixPak contains fixes for IBM TCP/IP for OS/2 v3.1 & v4.0 applications, including FTP, FTPD, NewsReader/2, Syslogd, and TCPCOEX. After applying this FixPak, the TCP/IP applications for OS/2 will be Year 2000 ready. This FixPak does not contain fixes for IBM Web Explorer. Instead, you should download Netscape Navigator 2.02 for OS/2 or Netscape Communicator 4.04 for OS/2 Warp. These are available free of charge from IBM's Software Choice at : http://www.software.ibm.com/os/warp/swchoice/ Click on the "Click Here" logo and select the language needed. To download, select the "IBM Software Choice Catalog" link (at the bottom of the page), and then select Netscape Navigator or Netscape Communicator. NOTE : UN00980.INF, located on the first FixPak diskette, contains installation, and other useful information about this FixPak. Please review before installation of service. Note: You should have MPTS FixPak WRx8421 (or above) installed on your system before applying this FixPak. Also note that WRx8610 should not be installed on a non-SMP Warp Server without installing TCP/IP v4.1 along with it. There have been various problems reported when using WRx8610 without TCP/IP v4.1. Warning: 1 - This FixPak services some of the TCP/IP files based on the MPTS level on the system. If you have WRx8610 or above on your system when you install this FixPak, you should not install a version of MPTS older than WRx8610 because it will back-level some of the TCP/IP files. If you have an MPTS version prior to WRx8610 when you install this FixPak and you then install WRx8610, you should reinstall this FixPak to ensure that the proper TCP/IP files are installed. If you plan to install WRx8620, it should be installed after installing this FixPak. Warning: 2 - This FixPak must be installed using Corrective Service Facility (CSF) 2-B Version 1.41 or above. If you try to install this FixPak with CSF 2-B Version 1.37B, you will get the message "No products were found on the target system to service." Once you use FixTool Version 1.41 or above, you will not be able to use previous versions of the FixTool to service other products on this system.
