JagSpeed/2 version 1.1
Download jagspeed exebin and icobin as binary files, jagspeed ini as a
text file.
Place all files in the same subdirectory. Read the jagspeed.ini file
for instructions. Enter jagspeed to execute the program.
Selecting Exit from the Files pulldown menu terminated the program in
an ugly manner (with an OS/2 error message). This is now fixed.
File windows were limited to a maximum of 512 files this has now been
increased to 2048. Previously when the limit was reached the program
aborted.
The program is now fully resizeable. The previous version was
implemented as a dialog box, this version has now been rewritten as a
standard window.
The default colours have been changed to suit machines with only 16
colours.
The program now saves the colour, fonts and size selected by the user
between program executions. Now once the user has got the program looking
and positioned just the way he wants it, the setup will be remembered every
time the program starts up on the same machine.
A new option has been added to jagspeed.ini (PARA:) which allows the
user to go back to the default colour, fonts and sizes (ie not use those
from the previous execution of the program).
The file windows (listboxes) are now updated even faster.
Apart from the file operations, the dialogs support type-ahead. For
example, this means that a user can strike the F12 function key, a drive
letter and the enter key in quick succession without having to wait for the
drive dialog to appear.
The layout of the file windows and commandline has been changed.
The initial dialog crediting the author has been removed. |
