Wireshark v. 2.2.8 (24/7/2017, Paul Smedley (Smedles)) Readme/What's new
Changes in v2.2.8 - Initial release (20170603) - Added support for libssh, c-ares (namelookup), openssl & geoip (20170604 release) - Started work on adding libpcap support (initially with no os2 packet capture support) (20170608) - Fixed issue opening binary files (20170610) - disabled libpcap support for public builds until it's working (20170617 build) - Updated source to v2.2.8 (20170721 build) Capturing packets on OS/2 (Thanks to Dave McKenna for the instructions) 1) Open a command line window and type 'iptrace lan0' (or lan1 or lan2 depending on which interface you want to monitor) 2) Browse the network for a little while (don't leave iptrace running for too long or the log file could fill up your hard drive!) 3) close iptrace by hitting <enter>. There is now a file called 'iptrace.dmp' in the directory you ran iptrace from. 4) In the same directory type 'ipformat -x'. This formats the trace for wireshark and is a file named 'iptrace.enc'. 5) Open Wireshark and open the file 'iptrace.enc TODO - testing - add support for packet capturing on OS/2 General feedback can be provided to paul@smedley.id.au, bug reports should go to http://mantis.smedley.id.au
