GNAT is a free, high-quality, complete compiler for Ada95, integrated into the GCC compiler system.

This software is distributed as compressed package. You have to download and manually install it; if prerequisites are required, you will have to manually install them too.

Manual installation

Program is distributed as ZIP package: download to temporary directory and unpack to EMX destination folder preserving the existing directory structure. See below for download link(s). Add to config.sys the following environment variables:

  • set ADA_INCLUDE_PATH=X:\emx\gnatlib
  • set ADA_OBJECTS_PATH=X:\emx\gnatlib

where "X:\" is the letter drive hosting EMX environment, and reboot.
